I have a long lasting love affair with jazzy pant, which dates back to when I was a small child according to family photo albums. And there’s a reason why – they are a simple, easy, and chic way to do statement dressing, plus, they are fun, and isn’t this what fashion is all about?! I can’t remember the number of times someone has stopped me in the street to tell me they love my pants – and in London this is quite unusual!
These palm tree print slacks from H&M are the perfect all-round Spring pant. The cut is so flattering, relaxed enough for the weekend, yet smart enough for work – remember don’t go too fitted with this style, they look better a little oversized. The bold colours and print are a great way to move into S/S dressing without having to freeze when the weather isn’t as warm as it should be (a far too common occurrence in the UK). I paired them with a cream knit and black heels, keeping the rest of the outfit simple allows the pants to take centre stage. Which, let’s face it, they deserve!
I styled this outfit with light layered jewellery. I love to wear multiple necklaces, it really adds to a look, and this simple triple chain from Topshop is one of my favourites for layering. I added in my charm necklace to introduce a subtle contrast of gold and silver. The light, simpleness of this compliments the outfit and makes the whole look. It’s amazing what such a small touch as this can do for an outfit!
What do you think of these pants, are you as in love with them as I am?
