This weekend was amazing, I went to the much talked about Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A then had a great day in Chelsea with the girls. There’s something unbeatable about spending time with your oldest girl friends, eating, drinking and catching up. The spell bindingly brilliant V&A exhibition of one of fashion’s greats’ designs only made this better.
We spent our lunch at the Bluebird in Chelsea discussing how absolutely incredible the clothes were, we all had different favourites, but there was one thing we agreed on – the boldness and structure of the designs was like nothing any other designer has achieved. The whole experience was brilliant, they’ve done a fantastic job of curating this exhibition and it thoroughly deserves the hype it receives.
I wore a fabulous new fringed kimono that I picked up on Friday night from H&M’s Coachella collection. I love this line and had to get this kimono the moment I saw it! I paired it with a simple black vest, ripped jeans and Chanel pumps and added some statement jewellery to complete the look. I am really getting into the boho look this season, it’s such a fun style and perfect for the upcoming festival season.
Hope you have all had great weekends too. Here’s three recommendations from my weekend; if you’re in London go see Savage Beauty, try the Bluebird as a brunch/lunch spot (it’s one of my favourites – the food is always so yummy) and check out the H&M Coachella collection asap (shop it here)!
